All Foundation doctors are required to hold a provisional (F1) or full (F2) registration with the GMC.
F1s Applying for Full Registration
Doctors nearing the end of their F1 year, will need to apply to convert their provisional registration to full registration.
The GMC make contact in May/June with instructions and a reminder to check your access details on GMC Online.
All F1 doctors’ applications for full GMC registration are made through GMC online, where we recommend you read the GMC guidance on full registration before making your application. A declaration of fitness to practise is also required for the application.
Details regarding eligibility can be found on the GMC website.
We recommend that you allow plenty of time for your registration as you will not be allowed to start work as an F2 Doctor without full GMC registration.
