About

About us

NHSE working across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex is part of the South East regional team covering the counties of Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight.

We support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and the public. We ensure that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values, and behaviours at the right time and in the right place.

Our Delivery Plan provides an overview of NHSE priorities and deliverables across the South East region, and within each of our integrated care systems. The document illustrates the breadth of our work and the important role that we play as part of the wider health and care system working in partnership with other organisations.

We cover more than 100 programmes from planning and commissioning to recruiting and developing healthcare staff in a range of healthcare and community settings.

In the South East, we support over 38,000 learners in a broad range of health and care learning environments, and in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex this is across the six Integrated Care Systems and Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships, 21 NHS trusts and Primary Care Network Training Hubs.

To achieve this, we work closely with our partners which include Higher Education Institutes (HEIs), Professional Bodies, Royal Colleges and General Medical Council, Skills for Care, Clinical Networks, NHS England and Improvement, NHS Employers, and many more.
