It’s your choice how much personal development to do and when, depending on whether you are happy doing enough to remain up to date in your ES role, or whether you want to progress your educational journey to Tier 4 and beyond.
This page gives advice on what the ES role entails, and what you need to do to complete your ES section of your appraisal. There is specific advice for new ESs, as well as those more established in the role. It is good practice to seek feedback in your role as well, and the educator MSF tool is free and easy to use.
