More FAQs

Can I complete F2 abroad?
The KSS Foundation School is not able to arrange for doctors to transfer abroad for their F2 programmes, owing to the difficulty of ensuring adequate supervision and training which meets UK regulatory requirements at a distance.

I’ve been summoned for jury duty, what do I do?
If a foundation doctor needs more that 20 days of Time Out of Training (TOOT) then a review is triggered as to whether an extension to training is required and, if so, for how long. The review is carried out by the FS director.
If a foundation doctor is called for jury service they should advise their employing trust and the KSS FS. The KSS FS would be happy to provide a letter outlining the doctor’s training requirements and requesting that the time served is no more than 2 weeks to limit the impact on training.
Further information is available on: Doctors called for Jury Service
