New Link-KSS Acute Internal Medicine RTD (Ultrasound & Imaging in Acute Medicine )-07.08.2025

August 7 at 10:00 am until 4:00 pm

Dear Resident Trainee Doctor,

The AIM regional Training day is on Thursday 7th August 2025. The topic for the day is on Interesting Cases in POCUS. As US is used in our specialities more than others, we have decided to open the Training day to ED and ICM trainees as well.  The Training day is to be led mainly by Trainees, and we expect you will not only participate but also contribute by presenting interesting cases where US has helped in diagnosing clinical conditions. Feel free to present cases using Echo, lung US. Abdomen or vascular imaging. There would be some US theory teaching in the first session and program will follow shortly. There will be not hands on training but for most part we are hoping Trainees will do case presentations from their own clinical practice. This would be an excellent opportunity for Trainees from different specialties to network and share their experience and develop US training in KSS.

The Training day will be held in a hybrid model with face-to-face session in East Surrey Hospital and MS team links for those who are unable to travel. It will start at 10:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. You will need to register to join the Training day which is provided at the end of the email. Also do let us know if you are willing to present a case and you can email it to us at:

  1. Dr Ishleen Kaur – ishleen.kaur@nhs.net
  2. Dr Asser Hassan – asser.hassan@nhs.net

We hope this day will have a good turn out and loads of participation. We could do it annually if there is a demand for it.
