Teaching and Learning

All ACCS ST1 trainees (all exits) are expected to attend 100% of the regional training days including one simulation day per year unless away on annual leave/other authorised leave. Trainees should aim to attend atleast 50% of the RTDs face to face and the other 50% virtual.

ST2s can attend anaesthetic simulation days, plus anaesthetic training days/courses and then attend the ACCS regional training days as their study leave entitlement allows. ST3s should attend one simulation day per year and 100% regional training days (either ACCS or Higher). Regional training days should be booked through the ACCS Programme team and can be found on the KSS events calendar webpage. Trainees must register to attend an event and they will need to bring an email confirmation with them. This will allow trainees to receive a feedback survey and a certificate. Trainees will be required to choose face to face or virtual attendance and need to confirm to this. Attendance registers will be taken and reviewed at Interim reviews half way and prior to ARCPs
