All ACCS ST1 trainees (all exits) are expected to attend 100% of the regional training days including one simulation day per year unless away on annual leave/other authorised leave.
ST2s can attend anaesthetic simulation days, plus anaesthetic training days/courses and then attend the ACCS regional training days as their study leave entitlement allows. ST3s should attend one simulation day per year and 100% regional training days (either ACCS or Higher).
Regional training days should be booked through the ACCS Programme team and can be found on the KSS events calendar webpage. Trainees must register to attend an event and they will need to bring a email confirmation with them. This will allow trainees to receive a feedback survey and a certificate.
ACCS regional training day calendar (2020):
Due to the COVID crisis, the forthcoming RTDs from April- May have been cancelled as not possible to host over Skype.
All trusts are encouraged to release their trainees for a day a month to do 6 hours of online CPD activity and trainees should aim to upload evidence of this including reflections.
