The Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) curriculum is to equip the trainee with the skills and competencies required to recognise and initially managed an acutely unwell patient.
The curriculum provides trainees with the generic professional and specialty specific capabilities required to manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions so that appropriate and timely care can be delivered.
The curriculum is centred around 11 supervised learning outcomes (SLOs) which describe the professional tasks within the scope of ACCS training.
The ACCS 2021 curriculum can be found here and the ACCS ARCP decision aid can be found here.
