SUMMARY:KSS Resident Doctors Conference
DESCRIPTION:The KSS Annual Conference for Resident Doctors is back \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are excited to welcome delegates to the KSS Annual Conference for Resident Doctors 2025\, to be held on Tuesday 18th March at the Amex\, Brighton from 9am to 5pm. \n\n\n\nThe theme of this year’s conference is ‘individual development with collective responsibility’. From leadership to patient safety\, the day will cover a variety topics relevant to resident doctors in KSS and will involve  keynote speakers\, interactive workshops and presentations. \n\n\n\nREGISTRATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED. Prof Bobbie Farsides\, Professor of Clinical and Biomedical Ethics at Brighton and Sussex Medical School \n\n\n\n1045: Refreshments and networking \n\n\n\n1100: Keynote Speaker: Doctors as systems leaders; a personal view- Dr Kate Langford\, Chief Medical Officer for NHS Kent and Medway  \n\n\n\n1130: Lunch\, alongside poster presentations and trainee representative session \n\n\n\n1300: Workshop Sessions* \n\n\n\n1400: Workshop Sessions* \n\n\n\n1450: Refreshments and networking \n\n\n\n1505: Workshop Sessions* \n\n\n\n1600: Poster Awards and Deans Update from Prof Jo Szram \n\n\n\n1630: Close \n\n\n\n*All attendees will attend our three workshops: Patient Safety\, Also Human- Prioritising Wellbeing\, The Psychology and Skills of Leadership \n\n\n\nPoster Competition \n\n\n\nAbstract entries for our poster competition are now closed and details on poster preparation for successful applicants are shown below.  \n\n\n\nPosters will be judged by our panel over the lunchtime break\, and prizes for the top three entries will be awarded at the close of the day \n\n\n\nDelegates will have three minutes to present their poster and one minute to take any questions from the judges. The judges  will then use the following criteria to mark each poster: \n\n\n\n\nQuality of poster (is it interesting\, concise\, attractively presented?)\n\n\n\nAim of the project (is it novel\, reproducible\, applicable to wider healthcare environment?)\n\n\n\nVerbal presentation (is the explanation clear\, is the presenter enthusiastic\, are they able to answer the questions posed?)\n\n\n\nOverall impact\n\n\n\n\nAny queries about posters can be sent to england.ksspgme.se@nhs.net.  \n\n\n\nAll accepted posters will need to be printed and displayed on the day. Further guidance on this will be sent to successful applicants.
